Minister Troy welcomes extension of deadline for Annual Returns to 11 June 2021

Minister for Trade Promotion, Digital and Company Regulation, Robert Troy TD, today welcomed the decision of the Registrar of Companies to extend the current arrangement in relation to the filing of Annual Returns to 11 June 2021.

In light of difficulties experienced by presenters in filing Annual Returns in the run up to the filing deadline, the Registrar has taken the decision to further extend the deadline for filing. The CRO continues to work on resolving the issues experienced by presenters.

In response to the extension, Minister Troy stated:

"I welcome the decision by the Registrar to extend the filing deadline for Annual returns, in recognition of the difficulties being experienced by some businesses and their professional advisers in relation to filing obligations. This will give much needed breathing space for those who are currently experiencing difficulties and have not yet completed filing."
