A Canadian technology and media company headquartered in Vancouver, British Columbia, PressReader is the world’s leading digital content platform and the pioneer of the all-you-can-read model. Our users get unlimited access to more than 6,000 newspapers, magazines and other media sources from around the world via our apps, available for every smartphone, tablet and laptop.

How we work Our freemium model allows readers to enjoy a wealth of free content, or to purchase a personal subscription granting them access to absolutely everything available on PressReader. To address the large market of readers who are averse to paying for content, we also work with thousands of businesses around the world that offer sponsored access for their customers, visitors and employees. Our partners come in all shapes and sizes. Many are consumer-focused companies that want to offer a great customer experience. Others are businesses, libraries or public organizations looking to provide full-spectrum access to premium news and information. We partner with airlines like Qantas, more than 10,000 hotels (including major chains like AccorHotels and Shangri-La), public libraries and government institutions (like the New York Public Library and the European Parliament), corporate businesses, cruise lines and many others.

The future As we grow, we continue to invest considerably into our product development. PressReader is much more than just a newsstand. Our readers can of course enjoy familiar and yet-to-be-discovered content. But more than this, PressReader is fast becoming a communication hub for all manner of businesses. We help readers connect with brands and build deeper relationships with them through great content. We have a bold vision for the future of content gifting, and we’re just getting started.

Why Ireland? As PressReader’s global growth has accelerated over recent months, it has become apparent that an expanded European operation would allow us to better serve clients and partners in regions far from our North American HQ. To that end, we’ve decided to open an office in Dublin. We intend to create up to 65 new roles over the next few years across a range of functions, including Research & Development, Multilingual Business Development, Sales and Marketing, Management and Administration. “Ireland is at the epicentre of innovation in Europe,” says Alex Kroogman, PressReader CEO. “It’s the European home of many leading technology companies with a large global footprint, and it has an outstanding workforce. We’re looking forward to joining the technology scene in Dublin and welcoming talented new members to our team.”
