The Department of Enterprise, Tourism and Employment hosts Ireland’s National Contact Point (NCP) for the OECD Guidelines for Multinational Enterprises on Responsible Business Conduct (referred to as the Guidelines). The purpose of the Ireland NCP is to promote awareness and uptake of the Guidelines, and handle complaints that arise in relation to the implementation of the Guidelines with the aim of resolving the issues raised typically through mediation.
To ensure the Ireland NCP fully adheres to the Guidelines, an advisory group was established to assist the NCP by providing expertise, increasing visibility and accessibility, and increasing accountability of the NCP.
