Science in Second Level Schools

Science education is a vital part of the modern school curriculum. In a society which is increasingly based on science and technology, young people require a knowledge and awareness of science, technology and mathematics whether they progress to further study in the sciences or to other studies and careers. This report states that as science and technology are at the heart of issues in everyday life, the school system must reflect this changing environment by making changes to courses and processes at an appropriate rate.
