Research-performing organisations play a vital role in many projects supported by the Disruptive Technologies Innovation Fund (DTIF), with University of Galway (UG) standing out as a key contributor.
40 DTIF projects
To date, University of Galway has participated as a project partner in 40 DTIF projects, using the programme to accelerate spin-out growth, translate research into commercial and societal impact and strengthen collaboration with SMEs, particularly in the fields of MedTech, digital therapeutics and health sciences.
26 DTIF awards to spin-outs
Through its involvement, the university has secured more than €52 million in funding. Its spin-outs have also secured 26 DTIF awards to date with a combined project value of over €114 million including, InVera Medical, Endowave, Luminate, Tympany Medical, AuriGen Medical, SymPhysis Medical and Relevium Medical.
