The Irish Energy Tetralemma – A Framework for Fuel Choices in Ireland

The Irish Energy Tetralemma is a suite of 13 reports providing factual independent analysis of the available fuel options to inform the Irish energy policy debate. The project was conducted to assist policy makers to make fuel choices today that are suitable for the long term. The reports analyse the suitability of 11 fuel types for the long term, taking into consideration international competitiveness, security of supply, sustainability and climate change, and comment on each fuel type as an input into the energy mix so that policy makers can make informed decisions for the future.
