This statement from ACSTI outlines the Council's recommendations to ensure Ireland's optimal participation in the European funding programme for research and innovation which will commence in 2014. This Statement is published in the context of Europe-wide negotiations to create a Framework Programme for research, technological development and innovation, Horizon 2020, that will see €80 billion invested in research and innovation from 2014 to 2020
