This report offers a detailed record of the National Youth Assembly on Artificial Intelligence which took place in October 2022.
The National Youth Assembly on Artificial Intelligence took place on 12 October 2022 hosted by the Department of Children, Equality, Disability, Integration and Youth, and the Department of Enterprise, Trade and Employment in partnership with the National Participation Office.
Delegates deliberated on the issues affecting young people and provided their recommendations to Minister for Trade Promotion, Digital and Company Regulation Dara Calleary on the government’s policy on Artificial Intelligence.
The Minister also heard from the Assembly about the role, impact and understanding of AI in the lives of children and young people, and their opinions and thoughts on its potential.
