Reports, Research and Analysis
The Annual Competitiveness Report 2006 benchmarks Ireland's performance across 135 key competitiveness indicators against 16 other countries. This report notes that Ireland performs well on a wide range of indicators including Ireland’s investment performance, the regulatory and tax environment and the structure and growth of the labour force. However, there are grounds for concern, in relation to weaknesses in our R&D and education performance, deficits in the quality of the infrastructure and in Ireland’s market share in many manufacturing sectors.
