Reports, Research and Analysis
With the advent of significant investment in public infrastructure in recent years to correct Ireland’s infrastructure deficit, government policy must ensure that the deficit is corrected in the most effective way possible.
This report documents the present system of the allocation of public capital spending in Ireland. It then analyses the effectiveness of this system and formulates practicable recommendations to improve it.
This paper was produced by FGS Consulting and the Department of Economics, NUI Maynooth for Forfàs (on behalf of the National Competitiveness Council) but does not necessarily represent agreed Council views.
