IDA mission includes one-on-one meetings with 18 companies considering new job creation projects in Ireland
Minister for Jobs, Enterprise and Innovation Richard Bruton T.D departs today to lead a four day investment and trade mission to the East Coast America.
As part of its strategy to support increased exports and jobs, the Government has more than doubled the number of trade missions since taking office. This will be Minister Bruton's 29th trade and investment mission since becoming Minister.
Minister Richard Bruton will be accompanied by Martin Shanahan, Chief Executive of the IDA on the trade and investment mission to New York, New Jersey and Boston. The trade and investment mission includes a total of 19 meetings and events.
Speaking before departing Minister for Jobs, Enterprise and Innovation said 'Foreign direct investments is at the heart of our Action plan for jobs. Multi-nationals continue to create jobs in Ireland and this has a knock-on positive effect on employment right across the country. On this trade mission to the U.S I will be discussing specific job projects throughout Ireland with a total of 18 leading global companies including some of the most established global corporate brands. I am confident that jobs will be created in towns and cities right across the country as a result of this trade and investment mission as has happened in the past following previous trade missions'.
