Carechoice, Ireland’s leading specialist care home operator, launches 165-room bespoke facility
Further 500 jobs provided during construction period
Minister Richard Bruton TD, Minister for Jobs, Enterprise and Innovation this morning welcomed the announcement that Carechoice, on the Malahide Road, would be providing 200 jobs for North Dublin, in addition to the 500 jobs that were provided during the construction phase of this state-of-the-art, purpose-built 165-room facility.

Following its recent acquisition by family investment officeEmerald Investment Partners, the group is expanding and in addition to launching Carechoice Malahide Road today, it has recently submitted planning permission for another 165 bed unit in Swords.
The 200 new jobs announced today are for nurses; health care assistants; management; catering staff; as well as two activity leaders, who will manage Carechoice’s on-site activity programme.
Speaking at the announcement, Minister Richard Bruton TD said:

With an increasing number of people over 65 in Ireland, quality care is something that will affect all families and I welcome the opening of this care centre. As with their other 5 facilities in Ballynoe, Clonakility, Dungarvan, Macroom and Montenotte; Carechoice Malahide Road is designed to balance residents’ need for their own space, and creating a sense of community.
The 165-bedroom facility has 129 single and 18 twin rooms with en suite facilities over 5 floors, with views of North Dublin countryside. There are numerous areas on each floor where people can gather, share hobbies and activities and meet up with family and friends.
The Carechoice Group pride themselves on providing fun, recreational activities that are collaborative and respond to the different leisure levels of the community, such crafts, card games; musical evenings; men’s pub; gardening; spa treatments and regular outings.
The facility on Malahide Road is the first of the new generation of facilities that CareChoice is planning to deliver to the market which move away from the traditional institutional type of facility to deliver a vibrant, warm and modern facility which is a place that not alone provides excellent care but also facilitates social interaction on many different levels.
