The Department of Enterprise, Tourism and Employment (DETE) will host a CADA webinar on 21 October 2026.
DETE will be joined by Mr Manuel Mateo Goyet, DG CONNECT, European Commission, who will present on and explain the CADA proposal to attendees.
There will be a short Q&A at the end. For efficiency, we ask that attendees submit any questions to cada@enterprise.gov.ie by Friday, 16 October.
About CADA
CADA is a proposal for regulation from the European Commission that responds to growing demand for cloud computing and AI infrastructure across Europe. It includes measures aimed at cloud and computing capacity, support for AI innovation, public sector cloud procurement and the development of a European framework for cloud computing sovereignty. The proposal is intended to strengthen the competitiveness, innovation capacity and resilience of Europe's cloud and AI ecosystem and create a more integrated and autonomous European market for cloud and AI technologies.
