SI No 639 of 2024 Companies (Corporate Governance, Enforcement and Regulatory Provisions) Act 2024 (Commencement) Order 2024

The Companies (Corporate Governance, Enforcement and Regulatory Provisions) Act 2024 (Commencement) Order 2024, fixes 3 December 2024 as the date on which the following sections of the Companies (Corporate Governance, Enforcement and Regulatory Provisions) Act 2024 shall come into operation: Part 1, sections 4 and 5, section 7, sections 9 to 14, section 21, section 23, sections 27 to 34, sections 36 and 37, section 39, section 41, sections 43 to 46, sections 49 and 50, section 54, sections 57 to 70 and sections 73 to 89.

For commencement in 2025: The 26 provisions not commencing on 3 December 2024 are those that require technical updates to be made to the CRO’s ICT systems to facilitate the changes proposed. These provisions relate to the prescription of forms for submission to the CRO and the removal of the automatic loss audit exemption for small companies on a first occasion of failure to file annual account. It is intended to commence these provisions in 2025.
