The aim of this Regulatory Impact Analysis RIA was to consider the costs and benefits that are likely to arise from a number of options considered regarding the enforcement of current and pending EU chemicals-related legislation.

The aim of this Regulatory Impact Analysis [RIA] was to consider the costs and benefits that are likely to arise from a number of options considered regarding the enforcement of current and pending EU chemicals-related legislation. The EU legislation that it was envisaged would require enforcement included the:

• REACH Regulation 1907/2006;
• Rotterdam Regulation 304/2003 (note; replaced in 2012);
• Detergents Regulation 648/2004 (note; amended in 2012);
• proposed GHS Regulation (CLP Regulation 1272/2008);
• Seveso Directive 96/82/EC (as amended by Directive 2003/15/EC) (see also Directive 2012/18/EC).
