Trade Mark User Survey on the International System for the Registration of Marks - 2015

The World Intellectual Property Organisation (WIPO) is conducting a survey of the Trade Marks user’s community.

It wants to get feedback on users experiences working with the International System for the Registration of Marks ('the Madrid System'). In particular in relation to the ‘Dependency Principle’, where an international registration might be cancelled if the basic national or regional mark ceases to have effect. WIPO also wants feedback on other related issues of the use of different scripts and transformation.

The survey will be used to collect information to advance the ongoing discussion on the dependency principle in the Working Group on the Legal Development of the Madrid System for the International Registration of Marks.

The survey remains open until 7thJune 2015.
