European Commission targeted consultation on the mutual recognition regulation - survey of businesses and business associations

The European Commission has launched an evaluation of Regulation 2019/515 on the mutual recognition of goods lawfully marketed in another country.

The Regulation 2019/515 applies from 19 April 2020 and replaced Regulation (EC) No 764/2008. It defines the rights and obligations in relation to the mutual recognition principle for competent authorities and businesses when selling goods in another EU country.

The European Commission (DG GROW) has selected the Centre for Strategy and Evaluation Services (CSES) to conduct an independent study supporting this evaluation, supported by Spark Legal and Policy Analysis. In this context, CSES and Spark are consulting relevant stakeholders to gather their feedback and views on their experience with the application of mutual recognition and the regulation.
