Ireland’s Industry 4.0 Strategy 2020-2025

Supporting the digital transformation of the manufacturing sector and its supply chain.

The vision underpinning this strategy is that by 2025 Ireland will be a competitive, innovation-driven manufacturing hub at the frontier of the fourth industrial revolution and at the forefront of Industry 4.0 development and adoption.

To inform the development of the Industry 4.0 Strategy, DBEI commissioned a study on digitalisation of manufacturing. This was undertaken by IFM (Cambridge University). The study was guided by a steering group with representatives from industry, enterprise agencies and academics/public research performers and chaired by DBEI.
