Ellucian creates new jobs in Ireland and opens office in Dublin

Ellucian is the world’s leading provider of software and services helping higher education institutions achieve student success

Minister for Jobs, Enterprise and Innovation Richard Bruton TD today officially opened Ellucian’s new office in Ballsbridge, Dublin. The company’s CEO Jeff Ray, members of the Ellucian executive team and IDA Ireland’s CEO Martin Shanahan joined him for the ceremony.

Ellucian, the world’s leading provider of software and services to higher education institutions, announced its intention to create up to 50 new positions over three years as it drives its European business. The new jobs being created are in technical sales, marketing, customer support and product development.

The project is supported by IDA Ireland through the Department of Jobs, Enterprise and Innovation.

Minister Bruton who met with the company’s CEO Jeff Ray, at its HQ in Fairfax, Virginia, US late last year said: “A key part of our Action Plan for Jobs is building on the cluster of tech companies we have in Dublin to make Ireland into a truly global capital for technology. Today’s announcement that Ellucian, a company which leads the world in its particular sector, is creating an extra 50 jobs in its new office in Dublin is another important step on this road and a very welcome boost. I wish Jeff and all the team every success with this project."

Welcoming the announcement, Martin Shanahan, CEO, IDA Ireland said: “Ellucian’s plans for the Dublin operation will further strengthen Ireland’s ICT cluster. This announcement also complements IDA’s strategy of winning investments in the software and cloud computing space. We look forward to working with the company as it scales its global business from Ireland.”
