Leading renewable energy consultancy Natural Power opens headquarters in Dublin

Minister Pat Rabbitte TD officially opened Natural Power’s headquarters in Dublin today [Wednesday], with the creation of 20 highly skilled positions. Natural Power is a leading international renewable energy consultancy, with a full range of construction services, as well as providing access to the full lifecycle range of services available through the company across the Onshore Wind, Offshore Wind, Wave, Tidal, Biomass, Solar PV and Hydro sectors.

Irish Presidency welcomes start of negotiations on new EU-Japan FTA – Minister Bruton

The Irish Presidency welcomed the start of official negotiations on a new EU-Japan FTA today [Tuesday] , according to the Minister for Jobs, Enterprise and Innovation and current chair of the EU’s Council of Trade Ministers, Richard Bruton TD. The aim is to reach a comprehensive agreement covering goods, services and investment. The negotiations are aiming to further reduce tariffs and non-tariff barriers.

McAfee is to establish a Global R&D Centre of Excellence in Cork with the creation of up to 60 new jobs

An Taoiseach, Mr Enda Kenny TD, will later today [Thursday] meet with McAfee, the world’s largest dedicated security company, to announce the company’s establishment of a worldwide Centre of Excellence for Enterprise Security Solutions in Cork with the creation of up to 60 new high quality jobs. The investment is supported by the Department of Jobs, Enterprise and Innovation, through IDA Ireland.

Yahoo! Announces Expansion Plans in Dublin

Later today [Thursday] Yahoo! will announce expansion plans for its Dublin Operations Centre, adding more than 200 new employees in the next 12 months.  The company has already started recruiting for customer support, technology, operations, HR and finance which will support Yahoo!’s business across the Europe, Middle Eastern and Africa (EMEA) region.

Zendesk Invests in Europe with Dedicated Data Centre

Minister for Research and Innovation, Sean Sherlock TD, today officially launched Zendesk’s first European data centre in Dublin. Zendesk, the cloud-based customer service software platform, is going beyond US-EU Safe Harbor* legislation with this new facility and giving its European-based customers the choice to keep the customer data that Zendesk manages on their behalf within the EU.
