Call for Expression of Interest – Enterprise Digital Advisory Forum

The Department of Enterprise, Trade and Employment invites expressions of interest from suitably qualified individuals for membership of the Enterprise Digital Advisory Forum (EDAF).

Established in May 2022, the forum plays a key role in advising and working with government to drive industry adoption digital technologies, in accordance with the National AI Strategy and the National Digital Strategy.

The forum has developed and agreed to its Work Programme for 2023 (Annex 1) which covers five workstreams:

  • Workstream 1: Awareness raising, driving digitalisation in enterprise and outreach
  • Workstream 2: Leverage the European Digital Innovation Hubs
  • Workstream 3: Advancing AI in Ireland
  • Workstream 4: Digital Inclusion, Skills, GovTech and Cybersecurity
  • Workstream 5: Technology, Regulatory and Digital Developments and Future Trends

In addition to its role in driving the digital adoption of technology by enterprise, the forum will also have an advisory role in relation to GovTech, working closely with the Office of the Government Chief Information Officer.

Based on the new Work Programme for 2023, the department welcomes expressions of interest from representatives of enterprises who possess expertise and experience in relation to the workstreams. A selection process will be conducted to make recommendations on the overall membership of the forum to the Minister of State for Trade Promotion, Digital and Company Regulation. Due to the new areas of focus under the Work Programme and to ensure the size of the forum is appropriate, existing members of the forum may not be reappointed.

 Expressions of interest are invited from indigenous enterprises (micro, SME, large) with experience in digital transformation; multi-national corporations (MNCs) with experience in digital transformation; and digital transformation experts with particular knowledge and experience in:

  • Immersive Technology
  • Future Trends in Digital
  • Cybersecurity in Enterprises
  • Technology and Sustainability
  • GovTech 

Membership of the EDAF shall be on a voluntary basis. A member of the forum may be reappointed once, serving a maximum of three years. Any costs incurred by members in the activities of the forum shall be borne by the members or their parent organisations.
