Closed Consultations
The Department of Enterprise, Trade and Employment (DETE) is currently seeking input on the development of its new Statement of Strategy to cover the period 2023-2025.
This important document will set out our high-level goals, as well as the strategic actions, which will enable our vision to:
make Ireland the best place to succeed in business across all parts of our country, with vibrant enterprises, more high-quality employment, growing trade, fair workplaces and higher productivity
To assist the department in defining its strategic vision for the next three years, you are invited to submit your views for consideration in the development of the strategy.

The draft strategy reflects the medium-term priorities for this department and sets out a proposed new mission to lead on sustainable economic development through the creation and maintenance of high-quality employment across all parts of our country by:
- championing enterprise
- ensuring a competitive business base to incentivise work, enterprise, innovation and investment
- strengthening global connections and trade
- promoting fair and competitive markets, best business practice
- as well as safe, flexible and decent workplaces through the regulatory and enforcement work of the department, its offices and its agencies

Submissions
Please email your views on the draft Statement of Strategy to planning@enterprise.gov.ie.
The closing date for receipt of submissions is 5pm, Thursday, 2 March 2023.

We are committed to engaging with stakeholders in a clear, open and transparent manner. Any person or organisation can make a submission in relation to this consultation. All submissions and feedback will be considered by the department before the final version of the Statement of Strategy is published.
Please note that it is intended that all submissions received will be made available under the Freedom of Information Act 2014 (FOI) and will also be published on the department’s website following the publication of the Strategy.
In responding to this public consultation, all persons and organisations should clearly indicate where their submission contains personal information, commercially sensitive information or confidential information which they would not wish to be released under FOI or made publicly available through publication on the department’s website It is also important to note that your name and address and other details such as your representative organisation or any other information that you provide in your submission will be published unless you specifically request that such details are redacted.
