Extraordinary measures are being taken to support public services under severe pressure at this time. Many staff in the Department and in our Offices have been redeployed to support our colleagues in critical internal processes and to support other public service bodies facing severe pressure at this time.
While we have made contingency plans for as many of our staff as possible to work remotely, these arrangements may impact on our data protection queries response times which may be delayed. Responses to Subject Access Requests (SARs) may also be delayed.
Queries on data protection which members of the public and their representatives wish to raise with the us should be made by e-mail only to: email@example.com.
Complaints may still be raised with the Data Protection Commission (the “DPC”) on the DPC website at: dataprotection.ie. Further information in relation to the procedures for raising complaints with the Data Protection Commission can be found on the DPC website at: forms.dataprotection.ie/contact. We would ask that you understand the difficulties arising and consider refraining from submitting requests until such time as this crisis has passed.
