What We Do

National Labour Market and Employment Policy Coordination

The Labour Market Unit, on behalf of the Department, contributes and inputs into the formulation of national labour market policy.

The key functions of this Unit are to :

  • Liaise with other Departments and Agencies on the formulation of national labour market policy
  • Liaise with the Department of Social Protection (DSP) on behalf of DJEI enterprise agencies to maximise the recruitment of suitably skilled persons from the live register through the DSP led Pathways to Work initiative.
