What We Do

Non-EEA Nationals who have held permits for 5 years or more

If you have held valid employment permits for a consecutive period of 5 years or more, and have been working lawfully during that time, you may no longer require an employment permit to work in Ireland. In these circumstances, you should contact the Department of Justice and Equality to establish whether you qualify for temporary Stamp 4 immigration status.

If you do not satisfy the qualifying criteria, you are still required to hold an employment permit to work in the State. If you have been in continuous employment with your current employer for 5 years or more you may apply for a Renewal Employment Permit for an Unlimited duration, in this case no fee will apply. If, however, you have not been with the same employer for 5 years or more you may apply for a Renewal Employment Permit for a maximum duration of 3 years and the applicable fee for the specific permit type applies.
