Copyright Review

The Report of the Copyright Review Committee entitled “Modernising Copyright” was published in October 2013. The Committee was tasked with identifying any barriers to innovation in the digital environment, and developing proposals for reducing any barriers in order to provide greater support for growth and jobs in the digital industry.

In completing its Report, the Committee was informed by an extensive consultation process undertaken by them to ensure that the full range of views of the copyright community was available to them.

Consultations

On 6 May 2011, the Committee issued a call for submissions on the Copyright legislative framework and received over 100 submissions.

On 29 February 2012 the Copyright Review Committee published a Consultation Paper and invited further submissions from parties interested in the issues raised in the Paper.
