Flight Centre Travel Group announces 30 new jobs

Flight Centre Travel Group has today announced plans to create over 30 new roles to facilitate its expanding Dublin operation; these jobs will involve internationally focused activity and will grow the Irish team to over 100 employees. This announcement follows a trade mission to Australia with Tánaiste and Minister for Business, Enterprise and Innovation, Frances Fitzgerald TD, Martin Shanahan CEO of IDA Ireland as part of the State Visit by President Michael D. Higgins to Australia and is supported by the Irish government through IDA Ireland.

Flight Centre Travel Group (FCTG) is one of the world’s largest travel agency groups with operations in 23 countries and a corporate travel management network in 90 countries. The company anticipates clear growth opportunities in Ireland and is now choosing to reinvest in its Irish operations. The skills required for the new roles include; Trained Travel Agents, IT staff, Finance staff, Sales & Marketing and Administration staff.

International travel is growing fast but also changing dramatically too, especially with the advent of the Internet. Flight Centre Travel Group are one of the world leaders in this evolving industry and I am delighted that they will create an additional 30 jobs over the next 5 years in their Irish operation.
